Satellite map of Phasael tower
The Phasael Tower, Hippicus Tower and Miriamne Tower were three towers in the northwest corner of the city walls of the Upper City of Old Jerusalem. They were situated close to where the Jaffa Gate is today and were built by Herod the Great at the same time he built the immediately adjacent royal palace. These towers protected the main entrance to the city.
