Yibal is the largest oilfield in Oman. It began production in 1968, and at its peak had a production of nearly 250,000 barrels per day (40,000 m³/d). In recent years, it has begun to decline, and in 2005 produces about 88,000 barrels per day (14,000 m³/d).
