Stanovc is a small village near the city of Vučitrn in the northeastern part of Kosovo. In fact it is made up of two villages, Upper Stanovc and Lower Stanovc. Stanovc is situated between the river Sitnica and the Pristina-Mitrovica road. It is approximately 15 km (9 mi) from the Pristina. The village has a population of about 2000. The land is mainly used for agriculture.
