Bangor (/ˈbeɪŋɡɔr/ BAYNG-gor, locally: [ˈbɛɪ̯ŋgɔɜ̯]) is a city in and the county seat of Penobscot County in the U.S. state of Maine, and the major commercial and cultural center for eastern and northern Maine. The population of the city was 33,039 at the 2010 United States Census.
