WUMF is the student run radio station of the University of Maine Farmington, located in Farmington, Maine broadcasting on 91.5 FM. Previous to occupying the 91.5 frequency WUMF was located on several frequencies including 91.9, 92.3, 100.5, and 100.1 (the station moved off 92.3 to make room for a WMME upgrade. The station reports music played to College Music Journal however popular music can be heard, as well as talk and sports programming. Until 2010, WUMF was a grandfathered Class D station, and as such was limited in its broadcast power, in late 2007, the owners of WUMF (the University of Maine System, the licensee of all the student/community run radio stations originating from a U Maine campus) applied for a 100 watt radio station on 91.5 [1].
