Shennecossett Golf Course is a municipal 18 hole golf course located in the city of Groton, Connecticut. It was founded in 1898 as a four-hole layout and over the next 18 years it was enlarged to a six, nine, eleven and eventually an eighteen-hole course. In 1916 golf course architect Donald Ross redesigned the course layout and in 1919 completed his work.
