Dothan /ˈdoʊθən/ is a city in the southeastern corner of the U.S. state of Alabama, situated approximately 20 miles (32 km) west of the Georgia state line and 16 miles (26 km) north of Florida. It is the seat of Houston County, with portions extending into nearby Dale County and Henry County.
