Mitchell Pass is a gap through the Wildcat Hills near Scottsbluff, Nebraska, immediately south of Scotts Bluff and directly west of Gering, Nebraska. After 1851 it replaced Robidoux Pass as the preferred route through the hills on the Emigrant Trail, as it eliminated a detour to the south more distant from the route North Platte River.
