Lake of the Woods is a subdivision of approximately 400 homes in northern Peoria County, Illinois, United States. It lies between the western bluff of the Illinois River valley and Illinois Route 40, near the northern city limits of Peoria. The center of the neighborhood is a man-made lake covering approximately 40 acres (160,000 m²).
