Hamilton is a town in Martin County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 516 at the 2010 census. The current mayor is Gil Matthews. Elected Town Commissioners include Franky Stokes Lee (mayor pro tem), Herbert Lee Everett, Kerry Spivey, Mamie Staton, and Ervin Williams. The mayor and all 5 commissioners were re-elected without opposition in the November 5, 2013 municipal election. All commissioners and the mayor serve 2 year terms.
