The Blowfish is the satirical newspaper on the Brandeis campus. It began as a supplement in The Hoot, but became an independent newspaper by its second edition on January 27, 2006. The name "The Blowfish" comes from the band Hootie & the Blowfish referencing the newspaper it was originally a part of. It is published about every two weeks while Brandeis is in session. The paper usually consists of four pages but can be up to eight pages for special editions. As The Blowfish is a humor newspaper, it contains completely fictitious articles and "no articles or quotes are truthful by any means".
