The Bromfield School is a public school located in Harvard, Massachusetts. Founded in 1878 by Margaret Bromfield Blanchard, the school's student population is approximately 750, in grades 6–12. The school is known for academic excellence, sending most graduates on to four-year higher-learning institutions. In 2011,US News and World Report ranked Bromfield School as 87th in the nation out of more than 26,000 high schools, awarding it a Gold Medal on the College Readiness Index. In 2013, Bromfield was ranked 53rd in the nation in STEM fields.
