96th Street is an under construction station on the first phase of the Second Avenue Line of the New York City Subway. It is the planned northern terminus for the Q train during the 1.5 miles (2.4 km)-long Phase 1 of the Second Avenue Subway; the Q is expected to be rerouted from its current terminus at Astoria – Ditmars Boulevard so it can end at 96th Street.
