1 Journal Square is an approved apartment complex at Journal Square in Jersey City, New Jersey. If completed, the buildings will be the tallest buildings in Jersey City and all of New Jersey. It will consist of two skyscrapers that will have 1,615 units on top a 7 story base with 70,000 square feet (6,500 m²) of retail space and 680 parking spaces. The buildings were designed by Becker + Becker Associates and are being developed by Harwood Properties. Though scheduled to be completed in 2010, as of July 2011 construction had not begun.
