The Long Branch Police Department (LBPD) is the primary law enforcement agency responsible for the City of Long Branch, NJ. It currently has 81 sworn officers, making it one of the largest police departments in Monmouth County. The Long Branch Police Department is actually a division within the Department of Public Safety. The Long Branch Fire Department comprises the other division. The LBPD does not have a chief and is instead headed by a Director of Public Safety. The current Director of Public Safety is Jason Roebuck, a former Captain within the department.
