Newfoundland (pronounced new-FOUND-land) is an unincorporated community located along the border of West Milford Township in Passaic County and both Jefferson Township and Rockaway Township in Morris County, in New Jersey, United States. It is located along the New York, Susquehanna and Western Railway tracks and Route 23. It is the mailing address of Green Pond, a private lake that is in Rockaway Township. Newfoundland was a popular resort destination at the turn of the 20th century.
