Explorer Elementary Charter School is an independent public school, founded in 2000, which serves 340 children in grades K-5 who are enrolled by lottery from throughout the San Diego, California area. Explorer’s mission is to create caring, confident, lifelong learners in a compassionate learning community that respects and values the different interests, abilities, learning styles, ethnicities and cultural backgrounds of each child.
