California's 17th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of California that is currently represented by Democrat Mike Honda. The district is located in the South San Francisco Bay Area, the heart of Silicon Valley. The district includes parts of Alameda County and the East Bay. It encompasses the cities of Sunnyvale, Cupertino, Santa Clara, Fremont, Newark, North San Jose, and Milpitas.
