Kayenta (Navajo: Tó Dínéeshzheeʼ) is a census-designated place (CDP) which is part of the Navajo Nation and is in Navajo County, Arizona, United States. The population was 5,189 at the 2010 census. Kayenta is located 25 miles (40 km) south of Monument Valley and contains a number of hotels and motels which service visitors to Monument Valley. Like other places within the Navajo Nation, it is illegal to serve alcohol.
