The Boulevard at the Capital Centre is an open-air shopping center in Landover, Maryland, located on the site of the former Capital Centre, which opened in December 1973 and was demolished in December 2002. The three primary sports tenants (the NBA's Washington Wizards, the NHL's Washington Capitals, and Georgetown University basketball teams) had moved to the MCI Center (now the Verizon Center) in Washington, D.C., five years earlier, in December 1997.
