Constructed in 1915, Ellis Library is the main library of the University of Missouri System located on the campus of the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. It was named in 1972 for former university president Elmer Ellis. With holdings totaling over three million volumes and six million microforms, Ellis Library is the largest research library in the state of Missouri and the 54th largest in the nation.
