The station is owned by Sander Media, LLC; the Gannett Company, owners of The Courier-Journal newspaper, operates WHAS under a shared services agreement. WHAS-TV maintains studio facilities located on West Chestnut Street in Downtown Louisville, and its transmitter is located in rural northeastern Floyd County, Indiana (northeast of Floyds Knobs).
