Oster (Ukrainian: Осте́р, Russian: Остёр) is a city located where the Oster River flows into the Desna in Chernihiv Oblast of Ukraine.
Desna (Ukrainian: Десна) is an urban-type settlement in the Chernihiv Oblast in northern Ukraine. The town's population was 7,180 as of the 2001 Ukrainian Census and 7,562 in 2011. It is named after the Desna River which flows through the town.
