Mikumi National Park
The Mikumi National Park is a national park in Mikumi, near Morogoro, Tanzania. The park, established in 1964, currently covers an area of 3230 km² and is the fourth largest in the country.
Mikumi is a town in Morogoro region adjacent to the National park bearing the same name. This park is in the southern part of the country as opposed to the popular northern parks of Serengeti and Ngorongoro. It is at the cross roads to the Ruaha river valley and Kilombero sugar factory, and the southern highland regions of Iringa and Mbeya. It is near the larger town of Kidodi.
