The Kızılırmak (Turkish for "Red River"), also known as the Halys River (Ancient Greek: Ἅλυς), is the longest river entirely within Turkey.
İmranlı is a town and a district of Sivas Province of Turkey. Population is 6,600 (2005 census). The mayor is Pehlül İşleyen (AKP). The town is located at 108 km to Sivas. It became a district on January 1, 1948, while it was a part of the Zara district. Because of the harsh weather, it is hard to gain agricultural products from the land. Therefore, the main economic activity of the locals is cattle dealing.
