Alfred Bernhard Nobel (/noʊˈbɛl/; Swedish: [ˈalfrɛd nʊˈbɛl] listen ; 21 October 1833 – 10 December 1896) was a Swedish chemist, engineer, innovator and armaments manufacturer.
