Tatsinskaya Airfield
The Tatsinskaya Airfield was the main airfield used by the German Wehrmacht during the Battle of Stalingrad to supply the encircled 6th Army from outside.

Sholokhovsky District (Russian: Шо́лоховский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the forty-three in Rostov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the north of the oblast. The area of the district is 2,527 square kilometers (976 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a stanitsa) of Vyoshenskaya. Population: 27,294 (2010 Census); 29,629 (2002 Census); 30,016 (1989 Census). The population of Vyoshenskaya accounts for 33.9% of the district's total population.
