The History of tall buildings in Karachi was initialized when Habib Bank Plaza of 25 floors and 101.2 meters had completed and was tallest building in whole Asia since 1965-1970. HBL Plaza was also tallest building in Pakistan for 4 decades but 116m MCB tower took the tittle of tallest tower in Pakistan in 2006. Currently by height, Ocean Tower of 30 floors and 120 meters is standing tallest in whole Pakistan. Both Local and Foreign Builders are building tall buildings in every edge of Karachi City. Currently more than 40 Highrises including Skyscrapers are under construction in different areas of the City.
