Jørpeland is a city in the municipality of Strand in the county of Rogaland, Norway. Jørpeland is located just northeast of the city of Stavanger on the center region of Rogaland. The city has a population of 6,282 as of 1 January 2012. Jørpeland became a city by the municipal on 1 April 1998. Jørpeland is also known as "Puplit Rock City", because Jørpeland is the representant of Preikestolen, which attracts tourists worldwide.
