The Faculty of Engineering (Spanish: Facultad de Ingeniería) at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) is one of the most prestigious engineering schools in Mexico, one of the first of the whole Latin America and one of the most important in all the world in 1993. At the undergraduate level, it offers thirteen majors and some graduate programs. In the first semester of 2008 there were over 10,900 enrolments at the licenciatura level and 1,115 postgraduate students.
