Chișinău (/ˌkɪʃɨˈnaʊ/ Romanian pronunciation: [kiʃiˈnəw]) is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Moldova. It is Moldova's main industrial and commercial center, and is located in the middle of the country, on the river Bîc.
