Baissour is a village in Aley District of Mount Lebanon, 850 metres (2,790 ft) above sea level, 30 kilometres (19 mi) from Beirut (20 minutes driving) and 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) from Aley. It shares a border with Aley, Kaifoun, Kabr Shmoon, Majdlaya, and Ainab. Baissour is about 5 minutes from the town of Souq El Gharb which was a frontline during the civil war. Home to many of the Aridi and Maleab families.
