Serei Saophoan (Khmer: សិរីសោភ័ណ, Khmer pronunciation: [seʔrǝi saopʰoə̯n]) is the provincial capital of Banteay Meanchey, Cambodia. The city separates Cambodia's National Highway 5 and National Highway 6. The final syllables of both "Serei" and "Saophoan" are difficult for non-Khmer to pronounce, so often the town's name is transliterated as "Sisophon", even on Cambodian signs.
