Manachanallur is a Town Panchayat in Tiruchirappalli district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is well known for its numerous rice mills and for manufacturing ponni rice cultured on the shores of Kaveri river. It is the location of one of Tiruchirappali's best colleges, Chidambaram Pillai Women's College, a college founded by the well known R.M.S.T family of Omandur.
