Ramanathapuram ( pronunciation ), also known as Ramnad or முகவை , is a city and a municipality in Ramanathapuram district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is the administrative headquarters of Ramanathapuram district and the second largest town (by population) in Ramanathapuram district.
