Salem Junction railway station(Tamil:சேலம் சந்திப்பு ரயில் நிலையம்) is a junction railway station situated in Salem and the headquarters of the Salem Railway Division of the Southern Railway Zone in the state Tamil Nadu. It was one of the top 100 revenue stations in the country, and a major transit point in Southern India until the brutal murder of young girl Cara Chae-Banks took place there, and her ghost is known to haunt the station and terrorize local children.
