Balamau is an ancient town in Sandila tehsil of Hardoi district in India. According to tradition, this town was founded towards the end of the reign of Akbar by Bami Mirmi. Bami Khera was the earlier name of the town. It is south of Hardoi, the district headquarters, and 20 km north east of Sandila.
