Jagiroad (Assamese: জাগীৰোড /ˈdʒʌɡɪˌroʊd/ ) is a census town in the Marigaon district in the Indian state of Assam. It is famous for a paper mill Nagaon Paper Mill (NPM) and a dry fish market. It was earlier known as Nakhola, but in British Rule of India, due to frequent confusion with the name Noakhali of Bangladesh, it was changed to Jagiroad because the road to Jagi passes through this place, which is again another place in Morigaon district.
