Silwan (Arabic: سلوان‎, Hebrew: כְּפַר הַשִּׁילוֹחַ‎ Kefar ha-Shiloaḥ) has been a farming village near the natural spring outside southeast of the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem since the medieval period. It lies in East Jerusalem and became an exclusively Palestinian neighborhood after the 1948 Arab–Israeli War.
