Zuarungu is a town in the Upper East Region of Ghana. Zuarungu was formerly the regional capital of Upper East until a land was made available in Bolgatanga, four miles to the west for a hospital to be built. This subsequently led to the movement of the seat of government into the town.The people of Zuarungu are mostly Frafra people with a small minority of workers and immigrants from nearby areas and other regions of Ghana.
