Kidwelly Town Council (Welsh - Cyngor Tref Cydweli) is the community council serving the town of Kidwelly and the village of Mynydd-Y-Garreg in the county of Carmarthenshire, Wales. The council appoints a Mayor, known as the Mayor of Kidwelly and Mynydd Y Garreg and takes care of local issues, more notably tourism it also manages a large estate. Kidwelly Town Council consists of 13 Councillors. In January 2014 the residents called a public meeting calling the Council to account over the bad management of the Council's finances and rented landed and municipal estate.
