Kitinen is a river of Finland. It flows for 278 kilometres (173 mi). It is a tributary of Kemijoki. The river flows through the municipalities of Kittilä, Pelkosenniemi and Sodankylä in Finnish Lapland. The Porttipahta Reservoir is located in the upper course of the river.
