The province of Cáceres (pronounced: [ˈkaθeɾes]) is a province of western Spain, in the northern part of the autonomous community of Extremadura. It is bordered by the provinces of Salamanca, Ávila, Toledo, and Badajoz in the south, and by Portugal in the west.
