Aarhus Municipality (Danish: Aarhus Kommune, also commonly known by its alternative Danish spelling Århus Kommune, Århus Municipality), is a municipality in the Central Region, on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 470.95 km² (181.83 sq mi) (www.noegletal.dk), and has a population of 326,246 (January 1, 2015) ("statistikbanken.dk befolkning og valg").
