Auerbach (German pronunciation: [ˈaʊ.ɐbax]) is a town in the Vogtlandkreis, Saxony, Germany. It is the regional centre of the eastern Vogtland. The economy is mainly based on textile manufacture, food processing and machine industry. Auerbach is considered to be the second most important town behind Plauen in the Vogtlandkreis.
