The Sudetes /suːˈdiːtiːz/ is the scientific name of a mountain range in Central Europe also known in English – from their local designation in, respectively, German and Czech/Polish – as the Sudeten or Sudety mountains.
Rtyně v Podkrkonoší (German: Hertin) is a small town in the Trutnov District, the Czech Republic. The dominating feature is a Roman Catholic church and a wooden bell tower (it is not exactly known when these were built). The very first reference about Rtyně dates back to the 14th century when it used to be one of the biggest agricultural cities in the region.
