Liaoning (16) (Chinese: 中国人民解放军海军辽宁舰; pinyin: Zhōngguó Rénmín Jiěfàngjūn Hǎijūn Liáoníng Jiàn), is the first aircraft carrier commissioned into the People's Liberation Army Navy Surface Force.

Also called Lüshun City (旅顺市; 旅順市; Lǚshùn Shì) or (more literally) Lüshun Port (旅顺港; 旅順港; Lǚshùn gǎng), it was formerly known as both Port Arthur (亚瑟港; 亞瑟港; Yàsè Gǎng; Russian: Порт-Артур; Port-Artur) and Ryojun (Japanese: 旅順).
