Tapestry Opera (formerly Tapestry New Opera Works) is a Canadian opera company, located in Toronto, Ontario in the Distillery Historic District. The company was founded in 1979 by artistic director Wayne Strongman, who was appointed to the Order of Canada in 2009. The resident director is Tom Diamond, a Canadian opera director who also works for the Canadian Opera Company and was a judge/host on the Bravo! Television program Bathroom Divas.
