Martensville is the second fastest growing municipality of 5,000 or more people in Canada, growing by a rate of 55% between 2006 and 2011 and is the fastest growing city in Saskatchewan growing 50% between 2006 and 2011. It is sometimes considered a bedroom community of Saskatoon. It is surrounded by the Rural Municipality of Corman Park No. 344.
