The history of Canada comprises hundreds of years of armed actions in the territory encompassing modern Canada, and the role of the Canadian military in conflicts and peacekeeping worldwide. Much of these military history of Canada is commemorated today with memorials across Canada and around the world. Canadian memorials commemorate the sacrifices made as early as the Seven Years' War to the modern day War on Terror.
